3:49 am	Where You Want To Be [New American Classic] Usually, I would include a song in the beginnings of my journals as a sort of extension as to how I'm feeling; a mood-setter, if you will, to get a better understanding of what the emotional setting was when I wrote it. This is because only so many words and pictures can describe how one really feels. From there, the melodic tone and harmonic nature of music carries one to a different level of apprehension. This is what I want to convey. Music moves me and inspires me like nothing else. This time around, I'm not really sure what mood I was trying to convey. I picked back up on listening to albums I hadn't spun in months, and Taking Back Sunday's Where You Want To Be fell right back into my playlist. I guess with such a slow and endearing song as "New American Classic", I wanted to establish a mellow and melodramatic mood.
